Rizal Za’im bin Ramli, a child who was born and raised in a historical city, at Melaka. He is a very passionate and hardworking person especially in everything that are related to the pharmaceutical field. It was one of his dream to be a part of the researchers and academician in the pharmaceutical field. Therefore, at the beginning of October 2020, he decided to register as a Master student at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The course he is taking is Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology and will be conducting a project titled Skin Barrier Function of Benincasa Hispida Seed Extract in Atopic Dermatitis. Before this, he had completed his Diploma in Pharmacy in 2016 and Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology in 2020 at the same university known as Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP).
During his time as a Bachelor’s Degree student, he conducted the Final Year Project titled “Synthesis of Ciprofloxacin Loaded Gold Nanoparticles for the Treatment of Biofilm Infections”. In addition, he also acquired sterilization and microbiology skills from that research project. Aside from that, he also participated in a research competition organized by Universiti Kuala Lumpur and received a bronze medal for his project. For the final semesters for both Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree, he completed his industrial training with excellence at the government hospital and clinics (Diploma in Pharmacy) and at one of the big and renowned pharmaceutical companies in Malaysia, Hovid Berhad (Bsc. Pharmaceutical Technology).
